The function of the air shower

The air shower room is usually made of steel or plastic materials compatible with the clean room, and is equipped with an electronic power blower, a filter and a high-pressure nozzle, the latter being installed on the walls and ceiling of the room. The air speed is between 3000 to 7000 feet per minute (FPM), and it is continuously sprayed from the jet nozzle for 30 to 45 seconds, effectively removing loose particles. The airflow generated by the jet generates shearing force and flapping force, pulling up and removing contaminants on the plane and the crease of the clothes.

The air enters a large static pressure box through the electric filter/blower module, and then enters the shower head through the spray nozzle. The particulate, contaminated air is exhausted from the shower through the floor vents and then returned to the filter unit. This process ensures that only decontamination air is used to remove particles from personnel and other equipment.

Usually, the air shower device has an air ionizer to reduce static electricity, because a large amount of high-speed air will generate electric charges. Since laboratory equipment, electronic measuring instruments and many high-tech manufactured products are often damaged by electrostatic discharge, ion generators are essential to make the surface of the material electrically neutral before entering the clean room.

The air shower is a necessary passage for people to enter the clean room, and it is also a necessary purification equipment, which can reduce the pollution problems caused by people entering and leaving the clean room. The clean air flow from the air shower nozzle can effectively and quickly remove dust particles, hair, dandruff and other debris attached to the surface of the person. The two doors of the air shower room are electronically interlocked, which can double as an air lock room to prevent unpurified air from entering the clean area.

1. Wear clean clothes and open the front door of the air shower room to enter, and then close the front door.

2. Follow the voice prompts of the air shower, stand in the induction area, and do not lean on both sides of the air shower.

3. The air shower room starts dust removal work, and the indicator light shows red when it is working.

4. After the blowing is over, the indicator light will be green at this time, and the voice prompt will open the back door to enter the clean room.
