Filter classification

Filter development history

The earliest filtration was mostly gravity filtration, and later pressure filtration was used to improve the filtration speed, and then vacuum filtration appeared. The invention of the rotary drum vacuum filter in the early 20th century enabled continuous filtration operations. Since then, various types of continuous filters have appeared one after another. Intermittently operated filters (such as plate and frame filter presses, etc.) have been developed due to their ability to automate operations, and the filtration area has become larger and larger. In order to obtain filter residues with low moisture content, filters for mechanical pressing have been developed.

How the filter works

The flocculation dosing device is used to add flocculant to the circulating water from the pump. After the raw water is pressurized by the booster pump, the flocculant is stirred by the pump impeller and evenly mixed to suspend the fine solid particles and colloidal substances in the raw water for micro-flocculation reaction. The flocs with a volume greater than 5 microns are generated, which flow through the filtration system pipeline and enter the high-efficiency asymmetric fiber filter, and the flocs are filtered and retained by the filter material.
